Many countries in the world have traces of bad, collective violence and human rights violations in the past. Call it, Germany, South Africa, South Korea, and Argentina. Similarly, Indonesia. Unlike other countries that dare to recognize, cultivate and solve crimes against humanity, Indonesia seems to be still running in place. Not until the completion, in the phase of disclosure of human rights activists often face a dead end. As evidence, when Komnas HAM submitted the results of its four-year investigation and hard work to the government, the report was immediately rejected and never followed up. Upaa completion of the problem of human rights violations was finally floating.

This book is about to invite people to try to solve the problem of human rights violations in Indonesia can be realized. This book presents an executive report on the results of a gross Human Rights Inquiry into the 1965-1966 Incident, and a dissertation of reports of human rights violations that occurred during the New Order. It was also impregnated with writings on the context of the mass killings of 1965-1966, violence against prisoners on Buru Island, and the idea of ??how to deal with and deal with the problem of human rights abuses.

This book is very important for humanitarian activists and all elements of society who care about the upholding of justice in this country. In particular, this book is important for Indonesian young generation who want to get to know deeper in the nation’s history from a wider perspective.

Banyak negara di dunia memiliki jejak buruk, terkait kekerasan kolektif dan pelangaran HAM pada masa lalu. Sebut saja, Jerman, Afrika Selatan, Korea Selatan, dan Argentina. Begitu pula Indonesia. Berbeda dengan negara-negara lain yang berani mengakui, mengolah, dan menuntaskan kejahatan terhadap kemanusiaan, Indonesia sepertinya masih berjalan di tempat. Jangankan sampai pada penuntasan, pada fase pengungkapan pun aktivis HAM sering kali menghadapi jalan buntu. Sebagai bukti, ketika Komnas HAM menyampaikan hasil penyelidikan dan kerja kerasnya selama empat tahun kepada pemerintah, laporan tersebut langsung ditolak dan tidak pernah ditindaklanjuti. Upaa penuntasan masalah pelanggaran HAM pun akhirnya mengambang.

Buku ini hendak menajak masyarakat mengupayakan penuntasan masalah pelanggaran HAM di Indonesia bisa terrealisasi. Buku ini menyajika Laporan Eksekutif Hasil Penyelidikan Pelanggaran HAM yang berat Peristiwa 1965-1966, dan disertasi laporan pelanggaran HAM yang terjadi selama Orde Baru. Selai itu, ditamilkan pula tulisan-tulisan menenai konteks terjadinya pembunuhan massal tahun 1965-1966, kekerasan terhadap para tapol di Pulau Buru, dan gagasan mengenai bagaimana seharusnya penanganan dan jalan keluar masalah pelanggaran HAM.

Buku ini sangat penting bagi para pejuang kemanusiaan dan semua elemen masyarakat yang peduli terhadap tegaknya keadilan di negeri ini. Secara khusus, buku ini penting bagi generasi muda Indonesia yang ingin mengenal lebih dalam sejarah bangsa dari sudut pandang yang lebih luas.
